Preschool Head Start Education/Disabilities Coordinator |
Under direction of the DEC Executive Director, the Coordinator will work with the PHS teaching staff to meet Head Start performance Standards. It is the responsibility of the Coordinator to monitor teaching staff as they work towards the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children through establishing caring and positive relationships with children and their families. Must be knowledgeable of early childhood education and development curriculum framework, developmental screening tools, ongoing developmental assessments, Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) observational tool and reflective practice early childhood approach strategies. |

Speech-Language Pathologist |
The Speech and Language Pathologist will evaluate children's needs for ancillary speech and language services, provide services as required by children's IEP's in the least restrictive environment, and Model language development activities in the classroom. The incumbent will provide consultation and staff in-service on issues relating to speech and language development, offer support, information, and service coordination for families with children with special needs, and provide families with training, modeling, resources and feedback. |
